Sensitive skin doesn't rule out waxing — it just asks for a better formula and more disciplined technique. Together, those two prevent almost all irritation.
The formula: look for azulene
Azulene is a soothing active derived from chamomile — the signature of the blue-green AGISS products. The "sensitive skin" versions combine it with a gentler wax base that melts at a lower temperature.
The technique: less heat, smaller sections
- Always test the temperature on your wrist — for sensitive skin, aim for "just pleasantly warm".
- Work in small sections and never wax the same area twice.
- Stretch the skin during the pull — yanking loose skin causes most of the redness.
Afterwards: cool and calm
Rinse with cool water after waxing, then use wax cleansing oil — it removes residue and soothes the skin at the same time. For 24 hours avoid perfumed products, tight clothing and sweaty workouts.
When to choose cream instead
If your skin reacts even to gentle wax, depilatory cream may be your route: there is no mechanical pull, and the sensitive-skin version works with soothing ingredients.
